Did you get cookies?

Dennis Miles was a man who loved his neighbor. He devoted his retirement to helping those around him and in his greater community. You got cookies because of him.

Dennis passed away on January 2nd, 2022. We would like to continue extending his legacy of loving his neighbor by passing a little love to you. Feel free to do the same next time you have some love to spare.

  1. Although I really didn’t know Dennis very well, I feel he was a very strong Christian man. He was a very good husband, father and grandfather…
Esther, I know you must miss him every day in every way. You must have been truly blessed and I’m sure you are in so many ways just remembering him.
Love and Blessings to You and your family now and always…

  2. Thank you, Johnnie. Your thoughts expressed here are very precious to me. Yes we miss him so much but God continues to cause me to go on in the strength He gives me. I know that one day I shall see him as I continue to put the Lord first in my life. May the Lord bless you!

  3. My dear friend Tabitha brought me some cookies in honor of her dad. I loved reading this tribute to him. What an amazing man and an amazing life. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. If I would have had the chance to meet Mr. Miles I would have told him what an amazing daughter he raised, though I’m sure he already knows that. ❤️ Love, Julie Adams, Fairfax, VA.

  4. He tried to live his life so that others would know Jesus better and find their way to know Him as Lord and Savior in their own lives. We miss Dennis tremendously, but rest in the fact that no doubt he is walking with the King of Kings, and we shall see him again! I know that Tabitha has valued your friendship over the many years. Thank you for being a great friend to her.

  5. We received the gift from Jerry and Ann Lout who are our great neighbors. Thank you to Dennis and family for this very cool idea. I know Dennis was a good guy with friends like Jerry and Ann.

    • Hi Jeff, thank you for your kind remarks. Dennis and I have found, together, in the past that it is more blessed to give than to receive. May you experience the love of God in a new and profound way. Life is sometimes short and we are never promised tomorrow or even the next moment. I experienced this with Dennis graduating into the presence of His Lord and Savior in a moment, with no prior warning. It makes me realize that I need to live my life with that realization. I want to be sure that I and my ‘friends’ are ready to meet Jesus should I breathe my last breath on this earth. May God bless you richly as we accept His grace in our lives.
Yes, Jerry and Ann are amazing folks who walk with the Lord intimately!

    • Linda, thank you for these kind remarks. Dennis loved teaching especially the Word of God always. He was a precious husband, father, grandfather and friend! We miss him tremendously but knowing that he is with his Lord and Savior I’m sure he wouldn’t chose to come back if he had a choice. His fingerprints are everywhere in our home, my life and the many lives that he touched. Now my challenge is to grieve but not like those who have no hope because as I live my life for the Lord I know I shall see him once again. {but in a totally different relationship)
Linda, thank you for your love!

  7. I can honestly say that, next to Jesus saving me, and Priscilla keeping me, Dennis and Esther Miles helped bring me through a very rough self-inflicted time in my life, by loving me and showing the mercy and grace that has its source in Jesus himself. I have NEVER met a more Godly and Christlike man than Dennis Miles.
